The Dance-a poem

Do you dare dance with me?

Shall I take your hand? To a faraway land?

Luxurious temptation

Like a soft velvet against my skin

Smoothly follow my lead

I will guide you through

Come take a chance

And join me in my dance.

Quietly it moves us

Whispering secrets and words of promise

In the shadows of the night.

Our bodies are guided by the rhythm of the melody

The sky night above us grows dark

Our hearts flicker with the allure of a quickened pace

The vibrant music

The roaring sounds

Come take a chance

And join me in my dance

The dance with the demons

The best of all

Darkness envelops and

 Lingers around us

The sound of the drums beat too fast and too loud in our heads.

The storm is certainly near

Can you sense my fear?

The music, the sounds

There is no peace of mind

It haunts, it torments

It no longer makes sense

No peace to be found

We struggle we fall

We are dishevelled and torn

Hiding deep in my soul

Come take a chance

And join me in my dance

I have been betrayed

Far from freedom and romance

The dance with the demons

The worst dance of all

Welcome to my blog. My Non de Plume is Christine W Forgues. I have been journal writing for years. I took a course in Creative writing and found I enjoy writing short stories and poetry. I write more when I am hypomanic or manic.
I went into Rehab for Alcohol Addictions and have been sober for fourteen years.
Shortly after I quit drinking I was diagnosed with Bipolar 2, I have since been diagnosed with Bipolar 1.
I enjoy talking about my story, for people to learn or relate. I try and have a healthy lifestyle and try to use my coping strategies. Life is just too boring without Bipolar, it is a blessing but yet sometimes a curse.
I am currently working on a book and dream of publishing one day.
I am so excited to have found Wordpress.
This is my new adventure.
